Admittedly, its not as hot here as it as home. But it�s a different kind of heat. A cloying-unrelenting-wet heat. Once you start to feel it, you just have to give in to the fact you will be saddled with it for hours. Hot and sticky and sweaty for the rest of your day. So sweaty you can barely get clothes off or on.

You can not escape it. At home the dry heat is so hot it hurts, but you are barely in it. You wake up in your air conditioned home, get in your air conditioned car, and go to your air conditioned work. Here, there�s no air conditioner anywhere. Well, not anywhere you can afford. You walk to work, or you metro. You can brave the sun for 30 minutes as the heat creeps up on you or you can descend into the subway with 100s of other hot sticky people pressed up against you amplifying it. Then you go to work and sweat some more. The only escape I have found is if you luck out on a bus with a/c. Oh man, sometimes I will ride the bus just to get away from the heat, even though they are never headed where you want to go. Fuck it. I�ll get lost for some relief.

What is the point of makeup? Is this why Spanish women don�t wear it? becuase they know you will sweat it off in about 30 seconds? Or that you are so sweaty, you can't even get it on correctly?(probably this and spanish women are so beautiful they don�t need it I feel.) I am sitting in my apartment doors and windows flung open in my underwear and a tanktop. Just sweating.i feel like it�s a full days of activity. Like, what are you going to do? Well, Im going to sweat for 2 hours, then I�ll come meet you so I am sufficiently disgusting and smelly.
The conundrum of people �smelling European� was answered very fast for me. They don�t use stick deodorant, there's no air conditioner, you walk or use public transportation everywhere, its humid, and showers are a pain in the ass. (the showers should get their own entry, but just trust me on this.) and its funny you just hear all the Spanish people saying �hace mucha calor�joder�hace mucha calor!!� which means �it�s hot�fuck it�s so hot.�

Yes, Spain, it is fucking hot.
